Yemen

Visited in November 1998. I arrived in Sanaa and took a domestic flight to Sayun from where I travelled back to Sanaa via Shibam, Al-Mukalla, Aden, Taizz and Ibb. Yemen has to be the most fascinating country I have visited in the Middle East (despite the lack of any decent food!)
