Nearing the top of the pass Schrimmennieder on path 133 to the Franz Senn Hutte. Standing at the Schrimmennieder pass 2,714m looking north down the Platzengrube. The Franz Senn Hutte with the peak of Rinnenspitze to the right of the picture and the glacier Berglasferner in the distance.
The Rinnenspitze 3,003m, which we climbed in the afternoon after hiking from the Neue Regensberger to the Franz Senn Hutte. View looking east from the climb up towards the summit of Rinnenspitze. View from close to the summit of Rinnenspitze 3,003m looking west over the ridge to the Lusener Ferner.
The knife edge ridge we climbed towards the summit of Rinnenspitze. Did I mention I'm scared of heights?!? View looking east back towards the Franz Senn Hutte, hidden deep in the valley. Looking north across the bottom of Lusener Ferner.
Looking down one of the steep sections of the climb to the summit of Rinnenspitze. The next day stopping for tea along path 117 on route from Franz Senn Hutte to the Adolf Pichler Hutte. Uh oh !!!
View looking north along Senderstal from the pass Sendersjochl at 2,477m. The Adolf Pichler Hutte with Hoadl on the mountain peak in the distance. The Adolf Pichler Hutte first thing in the morning as we hiked up to Hoadl and all the way back to Innsbruck for a couple of days rest after spending 6 days in the mountains.
